There are a lot of controversy today about giving vaccines to children.  Reports say that it causes autism as shown with the rise of cases in the past few years. This puts some parents in a dilemma on whether or not to vaccinate their children. I have read the book and it had become a preventive health advice for parents like me who encountered certain childhood disease (asthma) with my first child while she was still a toddler.  It helped me gain basic knowledge about important nutrients that children ought to have while growing up.  I found out that recurrent infections, deficiencies in certain nutrients contribute to a malfunction of immune system.  Simple solutions such as cutting back on sugar and substituting with simple healthy snacks, how antibiotics can form a chain reaction of yeast and allergies that can cause a weak immune system and what to give to prevent this.and so much more.  My eldest is now a healthy beautiful lady with no allergies or asthma because a healthy diet  has become her mindset  applied throughout her growing years.  I'm not saying she never ate junk food, ice cream, cakes and doughnuts, yes she loved them but she knew about moderation and we provided her the vitamins and important nutrients necessary for immunity.

 This book helped me a lot and served as an important guide in raising a healthy, well-rounded child.  I encourage parents, pregnant mothers, couples planning to have a baby to read this book and gain the knowledge they need to keep their children and future kids healthy,

Alternatives for Energy Drinks

Most young adults nowadays are in the habit of drinking energy drinks almost everyday. Those who workout need that energy boost especially men who are trying to build up their muscles.

How to Age Gracefully

There are people over 50 who seem to retain their youthful looks.  Most are celebrities who have the wealth to slow down aging through surgery and expensive treatments.  There is a way for ordinary people like us who neither have the capacity to spend nor the courage to undergo plastic surgery to improve our appearance as we age.  Aging gracefully doesn't mean you're aging better, it's just aging smarter.

While still not in your 50's and even if you've already hit that age, there are some things you can do to make your body age gracefully:

1. Don't wear too much make-up
2. Don't eat too much salt
3. Avoid excessive sun exposure
4. Learn to manage stress through meditation, exercise or just taking time for yourself.
5. Moderation on alcohol, fatty foods, processed foods, soda and sweets
6. Avoid negativity
7. Keep your mind active by learning new things (avoid watching too much tv)

When it comes to health, the leading cause of premature aging is "increased insulin and leptin receptor resistance".   This usually results in having medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity and high cholesterol which leads to more diseases as we age like cardiovascular disease, arthritis, liver disease,.gout, cancer etc.

Science has established that diet can override genetic predisposition for disease therefore it is important to know the proper nutrients and supplementation to guard our bodies from diseases and still have that good health and appearance inside and out.

Damage to DNA has been linked to some kinds of cancer.  By protecting cells against free radicals, antioxidants help protect the body against cancer.



3. Glutathione (GSH) - Glutathione plays a role in many chemical reactions in your body. It also helps detoxify chemicals, including some that your body creates naturally, as well as pollutants and drugs.


Your supply of glutathione seems to decrease as you get older, possibly because your body can't create as much. Lower glutathione levels appear to go hand-in-hand with poorer health. For instance, lower levels may play a role in many conditions that are more likely to develop in older people.
 Taking glutathione by mouth does not appear to be an effective way to get it into your body. In one study, giving healthy people 500 milligrams twice a day for a month didn't raise the level of glutathione in their blood.

You can obtain glutathione from raw organic milk, free-range animal foods and eggs. But probably your best source of glutathione is a high quality whey protein.  Make sure your whey protein is derived from grass-fed cows and is very carefully processed to preserve the fragile amino acid precursors.


Certain other supplements may boost your body's production of glutathione, such as:
